Abstract:Objective Focusing on the improvement of primary medical service capacity, optimizing the balanced distribution of
medical resources, to develop the innovative model of “technology +mechanism”, to effectively solve the key and difficult issues
in medical construction and service management. Methods Based on 5G edge computing, an information platform for real-time
high-concurrency collection and transmission technology of image data was built. This platform enabled data sharing and cloudbased
business collaboration through multi-modal image information interaction and diversified access control. The interconnection,
sharing, and integration of medical imaging data within a region were realized, and remote diagnosis and consultation were
facilitated. Results The construction of cloud image center could promote the sharing of regional medical and health information
resources. Taking Jiading District of Shanghai as an example, the cloud imaging center covered 1.6 million people in the region,
and has completed remote diagnosis and consultation of more than 540000 cases. At the same time, it has been promoted to 31
provinces and cities across the country, covering more than 3000 hospitals at all levels. It reasonably and orderly guided the diversion
of patients, reduced travel time for medical visits and decreased healthcare costs. Conclusion The cloud imaging center has made
contributions to the homogenization of medical imaging services at all levels of medical institutions in the region.
