Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of personal digital assistant (PDA) and related information systems in the
deployment of first-aid and life support equipment. Methods The main functions of PDA and related information systems were
introduced, and the changes of equipment allocation time, allocation error cases, personnel occupancy, qualified equipment final
maintenance and shift time before and after the application of the system were compared. Results After the application of the
system, the equipment allocation time, the number of allocation errors cases, and the shift time were significantly lower than those
before the application of the system (P<0.05). The number of staff was reduced from 3 to 1. The number of qualified equipment final
maintenance was significantly higher than that before system application (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of PDA and related
information systems can effectively realize the closed-loop management of first-aid and life support medical equipment deployment
in the whole hospital under digital conditions, save human resources, improve work efficiency, ensure equipment performance, and
monitor cost-effectiveness, which is worthy of promotion and use.
