Abstract:Objective To evaluate the configuration and performance of in-use magnetic resonance coils in China, so as to provide
the suggestions and data for industry development and policy implementation. Methods According to geographical location and
economic development level, the configuration and performance of magnetic resonance coils of 108 medical institutions in 24
provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government) were investigated. Results Through the
statistical analysis of the collected data, the results showed that coil configuration rate of magnetic resonance equipment in tertiary
medical institutions was higher than that of primary medical institutions, and the coil configuration rate of imported magnetic
resonance equipment was higher than that of domestic magnetic resonance equipment. In the configuration proportion, the basic coil
configuration was rich, the special coil configuration was less. In terms of coil use, the coil failure rate increased with the increase
of equipment service life and the coil failure rate was higher in tertiary medical institutions and imported magnetic resonance
equipment. The coil usage evaluation index system established by Delphi questionnaire was used to evaluate the coil usage. It
was also found that the coil performance of imported magnetic resonance equipment was better than those of domestic magnetic
resonance equipment, and the coils of different manufacturers had their own advantages and disadvantages. Conclusion At present,
the configuration of magnetic resonance coils is mainly based on the clinical need. In different medical institutions and equipment
manufacturers, the configuration of the coil is different. With the medical reform, primary medical institutions and the domestic
manufacturers should pay attention to promote the new imaging technology and form a complete set of special coil configuration, and
conduct a comprehensive evaluation on the performance of the magnetic resonance coil, which is beneficial to improve the level of
clinical examination and promote the technological progress of the industry.
