Abstract:Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is the most common clinically refractory epilepsy, and its main treatment means is surgery
to remove the epileptogenic focus, so as to achieve the purpose of symptom control, and the precise location of epileptogenic focus
is the key to TLE surgical treatment. As an emerging diagnostic and auxiliary detection technology developing rapidly in recent
years, radiomics can automatically extract a large number of medical image features and analyze them with high throughout. It
can help distinguish hippocampus sclerosis from normal hippocampus in the diagnosis of TLE and assist surgeons to accurately
locate epileptogenic focus. This paper reviewed the research process and progress of radiomics in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy
hippocampus sclerosis, and discuss the future research direction and challenges.
