Abstract:Objective To optimize the blood collection process in wards, improve the efficiency of nurses’ blood collection and
the quality of blood samples, and provide research basis for optimizing clinical nursing work in wards. Methods The intelligent
blood collection management system of the ward was constructed, which was composed of the mobile multi-functional intelligent
blood collection trolley and the specimen status tracing management platform. The average blood collection time, the average tube
preparation time of each test tube and the unqualified rate of blood sample quality were compared before and after the application of
the system. Results Before and after three months of system application, the total number of blood collection patients were 676 and
930 respectively, the total number of preparation tubes were 2581 and 2490 respectively, and the total number of blood collection
tubes were 1761 and 2116 respectively. After the application of the system, the average blood collection time and tube preparation
time of each test tube were (3.42±1.30) min and (0.12±0.22) min, respectively, which were shorter than those before the application
of the system (5.81±1.47) min and (0.55±0.36) min, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The unqualified
rate of blood sample quality after system application was 0.51% (11/2116), which was lower than 2.32% (41/1761) before system
application, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The intelligent blood collection management
system based on mobile can effectively reduce the blood collection time, shorten tube preparation time, reduce the unqualified rate of
blood sample quality, improve the efficiency of blood collection and reduce potential safety hazards.
