Abstract:Objective To analyze the possible relationship between pregnancy outcome and the results of heart rate variability
analysis as well as echocardiography in elder pregnant women by retrospective study, and to provide reference for the judgment of
heart function and prognosis guidance of elderly pregnant women. Methods A total of 120 elderly pregnant women who visited the
obstetrics department of our hospital from June 2018 to February 2020 were randomly selected as the observation group, and 120
appropriate-age pregnant women who visited the hospital during the same period were randomly selected as the control group. Then,
the long-term heart rate variability and echocardiogram of the two group were retrospectively analyzed, various cardiac data were
routinely detected, and the results of cardiac echocardiography and heart rate variability analysis data of the two group was analyzed,
the pregnancy outcome was recorded. Results The abnormal rate of heart rate variability in the observation group was significantly
higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); there was no significant difference
between the observation group and the control group in the ultrasound examination indexes (P>0.05); a total of 65 cases of left
ventricular diastolic function decreased in the observation group, and 26 cases in the control group, the difference was statistically
significant (P<0.05); there was a statistically significant difference in the results of 24 h heart rate variability analysis between the
two group (P<0.05). Conclusion There is a certain correlation between abnormal cardiovascular function and adverse pregnancy
outcomes in elderly pregnant women. Elderly pregnant women are more likely to have decreased diastolic function, and their cardiac
reserve is lower than appropriate-age pregnant women, which may have a negative impact on pregnancy outcomes. Therefore,
perform cardiac function assessment during and after delivery for pregnant women, especially elderly pregnant women, may have a
positive meaning. Also, echocardiography could have a guiding role in evaluating the risk of elderly pregnant women.
