Abstract:Objective To analyze the site selection and layout of nuclear medicine imaging diagnosis center and the key points of
safety protection measures, so as to solve the problems of narrow and unreasonable layout of the original nuclear medicine
field. Methods According to the current laws, regulations and technical standards of China, combined with the radiation protection
characteristics, work process and work experience of positron emission tomography/computed tomography, single photon emission
computed tomography/computed tomography and single photon emission computed tomography workplaces, the site selection and
safety protection related issues of nuclear medical imaging diagnosis center were discussed. Results The nuclear medical imaging
diagnosis center had complete functional areas, reasonable layout design and protective measures, and met the requirements of laws
and regulations. Conclusion The use of radionuclides in nuclear medical imaging diagnosis and reasonable site design are of great
significance to optimize the safety protection measures and minimize the exposure of medical staff and the public.
