Abstract:Radiotherapy is one of the important methods for the treatment of cancer. Its main goals is to give enough radiation
to the target area and protect the organs at risk to the greatest extent. Radiotherapy has entered the era of precision radiotherapy.
The improvement of the accuracy and efficiency of dose projection during radiotherapy has greatly improved the survival rate of
patients. However, there are still many uncertainties and problems to be solved in the clinical work of tumor radiotherapy, such as
the uncertainties in the delineating of tumor and organs at risk, the dose deviation caused by the movement and deformation of
tumor within and between fractions, and the lack of effective verification of real-time position and dose accuracy of patients during
treatment丨 the clinical application of proton and heavy ion therapy needs further exploration. In this paper, the development and
challenges in the field of precision radiotherapy for tumors were discussed and summarized, and the future development of new
technologies such as bio-guided radiotherapy and proton heavy ion therapy was also discussed.
