Abstract:Objective Safe and stable operation of hemodialysis machine is an important prerequisite for the smooth development
of daily dialysis treatment, therefore regular maintenance of the machine is required. To better understand the malfunction of
hemodialysis machine in daily use and its characteristic, provide the basis for maintenance of the hemodialysis machine, a survey
of hemodialysis machine was conducted. Methods A retrospective analysis method was used to investigate the malfunction of
hemodialysis machine in all 82 blood purification centers (rooms) in Shanghai, and analyzed the characteristics of the malfunction.
Results The waterway fault occurred in clinical use of dialyzer was more frequent than other faults, and it increased with the number
of years of use. Due to the shortage of full-time dialysis clinical engineers, the testing contents of dialyzer manufacturers in annual
maintenance were not clear and other problems were obvious. Conclusion Standardizing the annual maintenance, improving the
personnel allocation and professional ability of full-time dialysis clinical engineers, and standardizing the annual maintenance can
reduce the failure rate of dialysis machine during dialysis treatment, make the doctor-patient relationship more harmonious, further
guarantee the safety of dialysis treatment, and improve the effect of dialysis treatment.
