Abstract:Objective To develop a maintenance strategy for hemodialysis machine to reduce the overall risk of hemodialysis machine.
Methods The management team of failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) was established and its theory of FMEA was introduced.
The FMEA management theory was carried out, and the brainstorming in the FMEA group was carried out. The failure mode and
risk assessment form of hemodialysis machine was formulated through brainstorming, and the countermeasures and improvement
suggestion for the failure mode of hemodialysis machine were formulated. Results Since June 2018, the total failure frequency of
hemodialysis machine reduced by 36.3%, the estimated value of the quantified detection increased by 25.5%, and the calculated
overall risk value reduced by 53.5%. The FMEA management effect was significantly improved, and the difference was statistically
significant (95%CI, P<0.05). Conclusion FMEA management method can better improve the weak links in the maintenance and
management of hemodialysis machine, reduce the risk in the use of hemodialysis machine, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of
hemodialysis machine, improving the quality of dialysis and ensure the safety of dialysis patients.
