Design of High Precision and Automatic Oxygen Concentration Detector
Based on Copper Ammonia Method

Abstract:Objective According to the needs of oxygen equipment in situ, rapid and accurate oxygen concentration measurements,
the present study designed a high-precision, automated oxygen concentration detector based on copper ammonia method. Methods
The existing copper ammonia method measuring device was optimized and improved by integrating electronic technology, autocontrol
technology and sensor technology. This system mainly included gas-liquid pipeline, measuring light curtain sensor, stepping
motor, bi-directional peristaltic pump, rotating impeller, high concentration oxygen measuring tube and control system. Results
The system had reasonable structure, high reliability and good environmental adaptability. Its concentration measurement precision
was 1% when the oxygen concentration was in the range from 0 to 99%, and was 0.1% when the oxygen concentration was above
99%. Conclusion Our oxygen concentration detector reduced man-made errors in the measuring process, improved the level of
automatism, environmental adaptability and the accuracy of copper ammonia oxygen concentration measurement method. The
system has great application value and is of tremendous practical significance.
