Abstract:Objective Virtual reality (VR) technology has been applied in the medical field. This paper examines and analyzes
virtual reality products that may be applied in the medical field, and provides references and suggestions for the industry. Methods
The commercial virtual reality products were inspected according to the performance and quality requirements of medical devices,
including electromagnetic compatibility radiation emission, photobiological safety and environmental performance. Results When
the virtual reality products were detected by the system, the maximum value exceeding the limit was 22.79 dB, and there was a risk
of electromagnetic compatible radiation emission. According to the existing photobiosafety standards, retinal blue light and thermal
damage belonged to the non-hazard category; the maximum fluctuation of optical index in environmental test was less than 10%.
Conclusion When virtual reality technology is applied in the medical field, the quality of hardware products deserves attention.
