Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic effects and the pathological sample quality of ultrasound-guided thyroid nodule
negative pressure (negative pressure group) and non-negative pressure fine needle aspiration (non-negative pressure group). Methods A
total of 85 cases of thyroid nodules patients admitted to our hospital from March 2018 to September 2021 were selected as the research
subjects. Then ultrasound-guided thyroid nodule negative pressure and non-negative pressure fine needle aspiration were performed and
the examine results were recorded. The results of histopathological test were used as golden diagnostic criteria, and the diagnostic effects
of negative pressure group and non-negative pressure group were compared. The comparison indicators included sensitivity, specificity,
positive predictive value, negative predictive value and diagnostic coincidence rate. At the same time, the pathological sample quality
of the two groups were compared according to the smear satisfaction. Results There was no significant difference between the negative
pressure group and non-negative pressure group (P>0.05). However, the pathological samples quality of negative pressure group was
higher than that of non-negative pressure group, as well as the smear satisfaction rate (P<0.05). Conclusion There is no significant
difference between the diagnostic effect of ultrasound-guided thyroid nodule negative pressure and non-negative pressure fine needle
aspiration, but the former has better pathological samples quality and a higher smear satisfaction rate. Therefore, it may have certain
advantages in clinical application.
