Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between cerebral small vessel disease (cSVD) total load and risk factors in remote
population based on vehicular magnetic resonance screening. Methods A prospective population in remote areas of central and
western Inner Mongolia from May to December 2019 was selected for vehicle-mounted MRI examination. Each imaging marker of
cSVD was scored according to the results of on-board MRI. The baseline data of patients were collected. Spearman correlation and
ordered Logistic regression analysis were used to test the relationship between risk factors and the total load of cSVD.
Results A total of 496 subjects with an average age of 60 years were included in this study, of whom 278 (56.05%) had one or more
cSVD markers. Correlation analysis showed that hypertension history, gender, education level, age, waist circumference, systolic blood
pressure, diastolic blood pressure (DBP), glycosylated hemoglobin, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein were related to cSVD
load. Ordered Logistic regression analysis showed that age and DBP were independent risk factors for cSVD. Conclusion Age and
DBP are independent risk factors for cSVD.Using vehicle-mounted MRI to screen stroke in remote areas of China can improve the
detection rate of cSVD, and provide theoretical basis for reducing cerebrovascular events and improving the health level of residents.
