Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of postoperative communication evaluation system in the improvement of
operating room working efficiency and postoperative satisfaction. Methods The feasibility of the postoperative communication
evaluation system was verified by selecting the continuous quality improvement project of work efficiency and postoperative
satisfaction in the operating room of a third-class hospital in Yantai city. The positive significance of the postoperative
communication evaluation system was determined through the feedback evaluation of monitoring indicators and result.
Results Taking the use of the postoperative communication evaluation system as the time node, the comparison of the operating
room work efficiency and postoperative satisfaction before and after three months with each key index of the continuous quality
improvement program was conducted. The daily error rate of instruments and equipment decreased from 6.35% to 2.83%, the daily
confusion rate of working procedures decreased from 5.74% to 1.93%, the readiness rate of surgical items increased from 92.38%
to 97.31%, and the satisfaction of surgeons increased from 93.21% to 97.23%. The data are statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion By using the postoperative communication and evaluation system, the problems are recorded and the information is
entered into the spreadsheet with the problem code. The problems are summarized through the system, and the information is used for
budget planning, training, resource allocation and continuous quality improvement. Through the analysis of the results, we identify
the problems and root causes that affect the operating room work efficiency and the postoperative satisfaction of surgeons, so as to
improve the efficiency and satisfaction.
