Abstract:Objective To explore an effective verification process of pressure gauge, so as to improve the coverage rate of metrological
verification of pressure gauges in hospital. Methods By using the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) management tools, this
paper analyzed the high risk process and failure mode existing in the current metrological verification process of pressure gauge.
Through the investigation, the hazard index of each failure mode was calculated. According to the level of hazard index, it could
formulate corresponding countermeasures and implement rectification item by item. Results Through the rectification, most failure
modes were corrected, the metrological verification process has been improved, and the coverage rate of metrological verification
of pressure gauge reached 100%. Conclusion The method of using FMEA management tool to improve the verification process of
pressure gauge is simple and effective.
