Abstract:Objective To explore and practice the change of the function and job content of the full-time engineer of hemodialysis
under clinical demand. Methods The functional areas of hemodialysis engineers were determined through the combination of
senior engineer team and clinical doctors and nurses, combined with clinical practice and related standards from January 2014 to
January 2017. Results Through three years of practice, we found that managing the work of hemodialysis engineer according to
the functional area could improve the efficiency and work ability of the engineer, and equipment failure maintenance frequency and
maintenance cost decreased by more than 15%, which effectively protected the quality and safety of the blood purification center.
Conclusion We should combine the actual situation of the hospital to carry out effective preventive maintenance and quality control.
Meanwhile, hemodialysis engineers should monitor the equipment parameters of the blood purification center closely and evaluate
the operation status of equipment and departments regularly, and the management tool should be used to analyze the bad factors and
improve the whole process. Then, the whole process of the blood flow and the technical level of hemodialysis engineers could be
improved, and the clinical safety of blood purification center could be ensured.
