Abstract:Objective To investigate whether the immune fluorescence quantitative point-of-care test
(POCT) result and automatic biochemical analyzer test result are comparable in measuring serum
C-reactive protein. Methods According to the EP9-A file specified by the National Committee for
Clinical Laboratory Standards, we collected clinical samples that meet the requirements (including high,
medium and low value of the project). Altogether 40 samples were collected for 5 consecutive days
with 8 fresh serum specimens per day. Test results of i-CHROMA Reader dry immunity analyzer and
accessory reagent blanks and AU2700 biochemical analyzer were comparatively researched. Results Test
results of C-reactive protein in POCT device and AU2700 biochemical analyzer were in good correlation,
R2>0.98, but there was a certain deviation in the test results of two methods, through comparative test
of instrument calibration, the two results become comparable. Conclusion POCT method is simple, and
can rapidly and accurately detect serum C-reactive protein concentration; it is suitable for all kinds of
hospital outpatient and emergency serum C-reactive protein detection. But its quality control must be
done and must do comparison test on a regular basis, timely calibrate in order to make its results accurate
and comparable.
