Abstract:Objective To design a type of medical oxygenerator monitoring and alarm system
based on LabVIEW, to realize the remote surveillance and alarm functions through short messages
service (SMS) so as to monitor the medical oxygen equipment and the motor room. Methods
The appropriate variety of sensors were placed in the pipeline of oxygenerator to collect all kinds
of signals. And the micro-controller unit (MCU) technology was applied to judge such collected
signals, then to achieve SMS alarm via GSM communication model, which was connected with
MCU. Meanwhile, the LabVIEW was used for programming master computer software to monitor
the collected signals and give SMS alarms through global system for mobile (GSM) model as well.
Results The designed system could monitor the status of medical oxygen equipment, display and
store the corresponding data. When accrued exception, the system could alarm via SMS. Conclusion
Application of the system could remotely monitor the medical oxygen equipment station, give
alarms in the event of exception, thus realizing the engine room unattended, which had some certain
practicality.
