Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of 64-slice spiral CTCA (Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography) in the diagnosis of the coronary disease. Methods Complete coronary angiograms obtained by 64-slice CT from 120 patients were taken as the reference for comparisons with those of conventional CA (Coronary Angiography). Results Through study of the angiograms of 840 coronary arteries in this paper, results could be obtained as follows: the overall sensitivity. specificity, false positive rate and false negative rate of 64SCTCA (64-slice Spiral CTCA) was 96.7%, 94.3%, 6.6% and 3.2% respectively. As is tested by 2-related χ2, P= 0.054. Therefore, statistical significance did not exist between 64SCTCA and CCA (Conventional Coronary Angiography) in the diagnosis of coronary artery diseases. Conclusion 64-slice Spiral CTCA, as a noninvasive and fast imaging technology with high sensitivity and specificity, could be applied in diagnosis of coronary artery diseases.
