Abstract:Cone Beam CT (CBCT) is an important diagnostic device in stomatology, which can provide accurate anatomical
information of teeth and surrounding tissues, and provide decision-making for clinical diagnosis and treatment. A fault case in
Planmeca CBCT with E424 error was analyzed in this paper. Combined with the structure and principle of the equipment, the circuit
and mechanical parts were checked step by step, the cause of the fault was analyzed. The fault was solved by adjusting the position
of c-joint drive shaft and top drive belt and doing calibration. The discussion of the fault case provides reference experience for
the maintenance of CBCT. For this kind of fault, clinical engineers not only need to fully understand the working principle of the
equipment, carry out theoretical analysis and practical testing, but also need to strengthen the use training and clinical education for
technicians to reduce the fault caused by human factors.
