Abstract:Objective To study the planar mechanical properties of valve tissue and provide experimental data for the constitutive model of biological valve tissue, an experimental method and device can be designed. Methods We used the virtual instrument technology, data acquisition card and other hardware to collection mechanical signal. Stretching device motion were controlled by four-axis stepper motor controller, and high resolution camera was used to obtain the strain change in the marked area in the center of the specimen. Results Through this device, planar mechanical signals of biological valve tissue can be automatically collected, stored, displayed and calculated. The strain in the central area of the specimen can be collected and the stress-strain curve can be obtained. Conclusion According to the characteristics of biological valve tissue, the experimental method and device can conduct two dimensional mechanical experiments on the specimen in circumferential and radial direction, according to different schemes to study its planar mechanical properties.
