Abstract:Magnamosis is a new surgical anastomosis technology which uses specially designed magnetic devices to achieve the anastomosis reconstruction of cavity organs. The applicable scenarios of magnamosis include open surgery, endoscopy surgery, endoscopic surgery and interventional surgery. Compared with manual suture anastomosis and stapling anastomosis, magnamosis has the characteristics of easy operation, reliable in anastomosis effect and wide application scenarios. Therefore, it can be called the third anastomosis mode after suture anastomosis and stapling anastomosis. Moreover, magnamosis is also called "intelligent anastomosis" because its irreplaceable advantages in minimally invasive and complex anastomosis. In this paper, the basic concept, application status and development trend of magnamosis are reviewed.
