Abstract:Objective To design and implement a mechanical precision detect method that can measure and quantify the mechanical
parameters of electronic portal imaging device (EPID). Methods The hardware part of the system used the infrared binocular camera
and positioning points. The infrared binocular camera outputted the spatial coordinates of the positioning points at a frequency of
20 Hz. According to the coordinates of the positioning points, the software calculated the flat angle, mechanical isocenter and image
isocenter of EPID in real time, then realized the detection of mechanical precision of EPID. Results Using this method, multiple tests
and analyses were performed on EPID of a hospital, and mechanical isocentric error and image isocentric error, EPID plate Angle
were obtained. Conclusion This method is simple to operate and has high repeatability, which can effectively help technicians to
carry out daily maintenance work of the machine, and has guiding significance for daily detection and quality control of EPID.
