A Fast and Accurate Extended-Field-of-View Imaging Method for Ultrasound Images with Large Revolving Angles

Abstract:This paper discusses a new Extended-field-of-view (EFOV) ultrasound imaging that uses different registration algorithms (block method or frequency domain method) according to the revolving angle evaluated by the standard deviation of registration results of all valid blocks. The experimental results show that the proposed method can still generate the EFOV image of the observed tissue quickly and accurately even when there is a large revolving angle, indicating good practical values.
