Abstract:The filter efficiency is the key parameter of the mask as a protective device, which reflects the blocking effect of the
mask on oily and non-oily particles. The testing method of 8130 automatic filter material tester produced by USA TSI Company
conforms to China's current national standard. However, the standard flat fixture can not satisfy the diversity of mask shapes
on the current market. Different shapes of masks lead to different clamping states in the detection process, which affects the
measurement results. In order to compensate for the measurement error caused by this shortage, we designed an auxiliary
measuring device for the filtering efficiency detection of special-shaped masks. The device is made of plexiglass, and is divided
into upper fixture and lower fixture. The effectiveness of the device and its influence on the measurement results are verified by
experiments. The device solves the problem that some special-shaped masks are easy deform during the measurement process.
