Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the main factors and general rules affecting the surface temperature of the ultrasonic transducers.
Methods According to the requirements and test methods of the transducer surface temperature test in ultrasonic diagnostic
equipment-related national standard, the surface temperature of the transducer was measured by combining infrared imaging
and thermocouple measurement. Then we performed the correlation analysis between the design structure and working mode
of ultrasonic transducer and the surface temperature of ultrasonic transducer. Results Compared with other scanning mode, the
phased-array transducer had the highest surface temperature rise under the air static and tissue mimicking material operation
conditions. Under the combined modes of B+CFM or B+CFM+PW, the transducers had the highest probability of detecting the
maximum temperature rise on the transducer surface. Conclusion The design structure of ultrasonic transducer and the working
mode of ultrasonic diagnosis equipment are closely related to the surface temperature of the transducer. In order to reduce the risk of
excessive surface temperature of the ultrasonic transducer, attention should be paid to the processes of production, use and technical
supervision.
