Abstract:Objective To analyze the difference of magnet structure design in magnetic compression technology (MCT) and propose
the basic principle of magnet design. Methods The characteristics and influencing factors of the structure design of magnets under
different application scenes in the literature of MCT were analyzed. Results The anatomical characteristics, magnetic force, operation
mode, functional requirements and the external environment of the magnet were the basic factors, which should be considered
in the design of the magnet. The design of the magnet should follow the principle of function and machinability, feasibility, risk
minimization, conforms to the principle of basic laws of magnetics. Conclusion The basic design principles of magnetic press
magnets presented in this paper are universal and can be used to guide the design of magnets.
