Abstract:In this study, the failure maintenance data of 826 monitors from the same brand in our hospital from 2010 to 2015 were
extracted. The reliability of those monitors was analyzed by using the method of the Laplace trend test for the variable of service
life, fault frequency and production batch. The results showed that the life of the monitor was the opposite of the reliability. In other
words, the reliability decreased as the service life of the monitor increased. The inherent reliability determines the reliability of the
production batch; and the frequency of the failure was determined by the inherent reliability and the use reliability. The inherent
reliability of the monitor is insurmountable. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the reliability of the monitor and extend its service
life by improving the service capacity of engineering technicians, training operation users and regular inspection and maintenance,
which helps to reduce the influence of the service life on the reliability of the monitor.
