Thermal wave analysis is an indirect method for the detection of skin microcirculation dysfunction developed in
recent years. However, the development of related hardwares and softwares are still in the early stages and can’t satisfy the
needs of clinical applications very well. In order to easily perform the time-frequency analysis of microvascular blood flow and
temperature signals by using wavelets, we developed an application software with graphical user interface based on MATLAB
GUI, including four modules: files, wavelet analysis, detection results and correlation analysis. We firstly introduced the
application of wavelets in the analysis of biological signals. The function of this software was introduced briefly with some
real cases, such as: signal wavelet transforms, the extraction of signal fluctuation amplitude, statistics of detection results and signal
cross-correlation analysis. It is expected that the software we described in this paper can aid the time-frequency analysis of biological
signals and the detection of skin microcirculation dysfunctions.
