Evidence-Based Analysis on the Status of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Quality Control Research and Management in China

Abstract:Objective In order to provide reliable reference for promoting further development of China’s magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) quality control and improving its supervision and management system, the research progress and management status
of MRI quality control in China were analyzed based on the method of evidence-based analysis. Methods The related literatures of
Chinese magnetic resonance quality control were retrieved through the Chinese database (VIP,CNKI and WANFANG), network
resources and related official website. Then, the descriptive analysis of the retrieval literature was carried out by using the method of
bibliometrics and the principle and method of evidence-based science. Results Seventy-four papers were included during the analysis
which ranged from the description, strategy, method, parameters, indicants etc. The research on the quality control of MRI began late
and showed a trend of gradual fluctuation, which was published mainly in four species journals. The literature was mainly selected
from the medical institutions at all levels and colleges and universities, and the main research group had preliminarily formed. The
foundation of research and management of MRI quality control were weak in China, so the development was slowly. Conclusion
The research and management on the quality control of MRI in China are in the preliminary stage of development, and the three-level
supervision and management system, which is dominated by the state, government and medical institutions, has just started. Thus, a
lot of work about laws and regulations, standard guidelines and supervision system need to be planned and accomplished.
