Abstract:Objective We designed a safe fixed infusion apparatus to avoid the bottle stopper puncture device slipping out during the
emergency transportation both at the hospital and in the war, which could also reduce the incidence of needle puncture. Methods The
safe fixed infusion apparatus design included two symmetric L components. The L component included a top hook, a joint, a pushing
handle, a fixed baffle and a retaining needle. The retaining needle included a cap and an extension rod. Results After several clinical
tests, we found that the top hook of the designed safe fixed infusion apparatus could get stuck in the infusion bottle, which could
avoid the bottle stopper puncture device slipping out. The retaining needle could seal the needle tip of the bottle stopper puncture
device, reducing the incidence of needle puncture. Conclusion The safe fixed infusion apparatus which is well designed with delicate
structure and is easy to use. The design can meet the requirements of intravenous infusion in various sorts of circumstances and is
worthy of spreading.
