Abstract:Objective To remedy the defect in ureter segmentation development in computed tomography
urography (CTU) by using 3D image fusion technology to carry on the infusion of CTU images of different
phases. Methods 3D CT image infusion technology was applied to the urographic images of 46 patients
who underwent conventional CTU scan, integrity of ureter segmentation development before and after
infusion was compared, two physicians evaluated the practical significance and diagnostic value of the
infused images. Results As indicated by the results of image infusion in the 46 cases, 43 cases could show
the full view of ureters, which solved the problem of incomplete display in CTU images of different phases;
41 cases were diagnosed as positive; 4 cases were diagnosed as negative; 1 case was of unclear diagnosis
and needed a retrograde urography examination for further diagnosis. Conclusion The application of 3 D
CT image infusion technology could produce high-quality overall CTU images, which allowed physicians
to observe pathological changes comprehensively from multiple perspectives and was of certain significance
in increasing the rate of diagnostic accuracy of related pathology.
