Abstract:Endotracheal intubation is one of the common methods to solve breathing difficulties through mechanical ventilation during
emergency treatment, but the treatment is often delayed due to the lack of professional medical staff during out-of-hospital emergency
treatment, and the treatment of patients with respiratory infectious diseases will increase the exposure risk of medical staff. Remote
endotracheal intubation technology realizes remote and accurate endotracheal intubation through robot, optical/magnetic navigation,
multi-modal sensing and artificial intelligence technologies, effectively improving the success rate of intubation treatment and
significantly reducing the risk of infection. The paper searched and combed the patent applications of technologies and devices related
to remote endotracheal intubation, summarized and discussed in four directions, including the distribution of patent applications, key
technologies, development trends and future application scenarios, clarified the advantages of current technologies, and expounded
the potential limitations, in order to provide beneficial enlightenment for the research and development of intelligent medical devices
for remote endotracheal intubation.
