Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of combined detection of peripheral blood heat shock protein 90α (HSP90α)
and spinal cord chemokine CXC ligand 12 (CXCL12) for lung cancer. Methods A total of 232 primary lung cancer patients admitted
to our hospital from January 2016 to June 2019 were selected as the research subjects, and 168 healthy subjects were selected as
the healthy control group. The expression levels of HSP90α and CXCL12 in the peripheral blood between the two groups were
compared. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of the expression levels of
HSP90α and CXCL12 in patients with lung cancer. Results The expression levels of HSP90α and CXCL12 in peripheral blood
of patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than those of healthy control group, and the differences were statistically
significant (P<0.001). When the cut-off value of HSP90α was 121.41 ng/mL, the sensitivity for diagnosing lung cancer was 73.28%,
the specificity was 76.19%%, and the area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.746 (95%CI: 0.691-0.802). When the cut-off value of
CXCL12 was 458.41 pg/mL, the sensitivity for the diagnosis of lung cancer was 70.69%, the specificity was 77.98%, and the AUC
was 0.681 (95%CI: 0.616-0747). The sensitivity of combined detection of HSP90α and CXCL12 in peripheral blood (85.34%) was
significantly higher than that of single detection, and the AUC was 0.867 (95%CI: 0.829-0.906), which was significantly higher
than that of single detection, and the diagnostic efficiency was the best. Conclusion Peripheral blood HSP90α and CXCL12 are
significantly high in patients with lung cancer. The combined examination of HSP90α and CXCL12 can improve the diagnostic
efficiency, which has potential application value in the diagnosis of patients with primary lung cancer.
