Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of parameter-optimized relaxation-enhanced angiography without contrast and triggering
(REACT) technique on improving the quality of central venous imaging by optimizing T2 prepulse time and reversal delay time.
Methods Coronal scanning was performed by setting T2 prepulse time (46, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 ms) and reversal delay
time (55, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 ms) from low to high, and the signal to noise ratios (SNR) of ascending
aorta, superior vena cava, left innominate vein, left subclavian vein, right innominate vein, and right subclavian vein were obtained
respectively. Then, the correlation analyses were performed. Results When T2 prepulse time was set to 50 ms, the frequency of
maximum SNR of each segment of vessels was the highest, with a ratio of 27.78%; when the reversal delay time was set to 130 ms, the
maximum SNR of each segment of vessels appeared the highest frequency, with a ratio of 20.69%. Conclusion By testing different
T2 prepulse time and reversal delay time, the SNR of each segment of the central vein vessels is the best when T2 prepulse time is
50 ms and reversal delay time is 130 ms. Setting the preparation pulse time reasonably can improve the image quality of REACT
technology in central vein imaging.
