Performance Evaluation of TrueBeam Medical Linear Accelerator

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the long-term stability of key performance parameters of varian TrueBeam medical acceleration.
Methods Analyzed the quality control data of TrueBeam accelerator in recent 5 years (from June 2016 to June 2021), and evaluated
the stability of 6 MV and 6 FFF X-ray dosimetry performance (output dose, flatness and symmetry) and mechanical performance
(beam center shift, gantry absolute, collimation rotation, isocenter MV offset, isocenter KV offset, Jaw offset, multi-leaf collimator
(MLC) max offset, couch offset). Results The passing rate of 6 MV output dose was 96.2%, and that of 6 FFF output dose was
96.5%. Flatness, symmetry and passing rate were 100.0%. The passing rate of mechanical performance parameters MLC was
99.6%, and the passing rate of other performance parameters was 100.0%. Conclusion The dosimetry and mechanical properties of
TrueBeam medical linear accelerator can maintain good stability.
