Abstract:Objective To design a denoising algorithm to improve the quality of the photoelectric pulse volume wave signal extracted
under hypoperfusion state. Methods First, the original signal was decomposed by empirical mode decomposition (EMD), and
the continuous mean square error of each intrinsic mode function (IMF) was calculated. After judging the noise-dominated IMF,
wavelet threshold noise reduction was performed. Finally, the signal was reconstructed to obtain the hypoperfusion pulse wave after
noise reduction. Results A self-designed system was used to acquire the photoelectric pulse signal to verify the algorithm. When
the perfusion coefficient was 0.15%, the algorithm could effectively suppress noise interference and restored the pulse wave signal
characteristics. Conclusion The algorithm is effective in improving the quality of pulse wave signal in hypoperfusion state. This helps
to increase the measurement accuracy of physiological parameters such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation under this state.
