Abstract:Objective To meet the requirements of calibration for the medical diagnostic X-ray equipment dose meter through establishment of the radiation conditions. Methods According to the IEC 61267:2005 Standard Medical Diagnostic X-Ray Equipment - Radiation Conditions for Use in the Determination of Characteristics, line marking with laser was used to determine the position in the space and the uncertainty of positioning accuracy was analyzed. Then, the additional filter of RQR3/5/8/9/10 radiation quality was determined through measurement of radiation intensity with the standard dose meter. Results With measurement, analysis and calculation, the uncertainty of positioning was determined. And the thickness of the additional filters was confirmed through measurement of the dose attenuation caused by the half-value layer. Conclusion The parameters of the radiation field were in line with the IEC 61267 Standard, which can be used for establishment of the calibrator unit for the dose meter of medical diagnostic X-ray equipment.
