Abstract:Objective To explore the HRCT (High-Resolution Computerized Tomography) features of allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) so as to have a better understanding of ABPA and improve its accurate diagnostic rate. Methods Retrospective analysis of the HRCT features of 11 clinically-confirmed ABPA patients was made. Results HRCT revealed central bronchiectasis in 11 cases, bronchial mucus plugs in 9 cases, patchy infiltration shadows in 7 cases, centri-lobular nodules with a tree-in-bud pattern in 6 cases, pleural thickening and mediastinal lymph node enlargement in 3 cases. Conclusion ABPA presents the typical HRCT features of central bronchiectasis accompanied with bronchial mucus plugs, based on which it can be diagnosed in combination with clinical and laboratory examinations.
