Abstract:This paper introduced the development of a heart pacing instrument for coronary CT imaging,
which was developed based on the ATmega16 single-chip microcomputer. The instrument mainly consisted
of the ATmega16 single-chip microcomputer, adjustment buttons, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen, pulse
amplifier, step attenuator, output driver, output amplitude detection circuit, heart-electricity signal gating circuit
and power supply circuit. The heart pacing instrument was intended to emit multi-frequency stimulation pulses
and remove the stimulus signal peak for patients with high heart rate and arrhythmia who underwent coronary
artery CT imaging. According to the practical tests, the instrument demonstrated its effectiveness in acquisition
of electrocardiographic complexes with highly-consistent heart rate and stable heart pacing, which could meet
the requirements of coronary CT artery imaging.
