Abstract:Renal transplantation is one of the main treatments for the end-stage nephrotic syndrome. In order to improve the success rate of transplantation, the donor kidney should be preserved in low temperature before transplantation. In this paper, an easy-to-use temperature control system with high precision and rapid response speed for isolated kidney preservation device was presented. The semiconductor temperature control technology was applied in this system to control the temperature of isolated kidneys. The platinum resistance (Pt100) was used as temperature sensor and the PID (proportional-integral-derivative) controller was taken as the temperature control policies. According to the experimental results, the temperature overshoot of the system was less than 0.3 ℃ and the temperature accuracy was ±0.2℃ when it worked at the temperature of 23℃±2℃, which satisfied the temperature requirements of preservation of isolated kidneys.
