Abstract：Objective To design an integrative box for emergency equipment used in critical illness treatment unit of an intelligent and expandable vehicle-mounted shelter hospital. Methods Based on the combination of various kinds of emergency equipment through modular design method, to optimize the design layout of emergency equipment which are fixed within the integrative box. Results The integrative box mainly consists of equipment box, metal-structure frame, elevating system, defibrillator-monitor, medical monitor, aspirator, ventilator, infusion pump, micro-injection pump and power outlet can meet the modular combination requirements of emergency equipment. The application of the integrative box has solved the difficulties in carrying, unfolding, folding and maintaining emergency equipment and then has improved the gathering speed of emergency equipment. Conclusion With the advantages including easily to be operated, conveniently to be carried, the integrative box will provide a new solution to the modular combination and space utilization for other treatment units of the intelligent and expandable vehicle-mounted shelter hospital.
