Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of the reconstructive point-touch ultrasonic probe on the lithotripsy efficiency of tough calculus. Methods 3 gaps were grinded on the front end of the common ultrasonic probe to form 3 teeny bumps. Thus a new probe which was called point-touch ultrasonic probe was reconstructed. The vitro lithotripsy of tough calculus was conducted with the point-touch ultrasonic probe and the common ultrasonic probe, respectively. Then the lithotripsy efficiencies of the two probes were measured and compared. Results The average lithotripsy efficiency of the point-touch ultrasonic probe was 2.33 times as high as that of the common ultrasonic probe. There were significant differences between the two probes in lithotripsy efficiency (P<0.05). Conclusion The point-touch ultrasonic probe which can break the tough calculus with fast speed and high efficiency will provide reference information for clinical minimal invasive ultrasonic lithotripsy.
