Abstract:Background With the rising number of Parkinson's patients, prevention and treatment of
Parkinson's disease have become the focus of academic study. Objective This paper designs a movement
function system based on wearable sensor networks, to assist the rehabilitation and treatment of patients
with Parkinson's. Methods The system uses ZigBee technology to build a short-range wireless sensor
network, utilizes inertial sensors to collect the acceleration and angular velocity data of patients during
exercise, then analyzes and calculates the evaluation parameters, finally, evaluates the movement
function. Results Experimental results show that the system has stable performance to meet the
requirements of movement function assessment, and the experimental actions are representative.
