Abstract:Objective To provide some guidance and reference for the research and application of medical image cloud through
analyzing the release of articles related to medical image cloud in China. Methods The qualitative and systematic review method
of evidence-based medicine was used to search the CNKI, VIP and Wanfang Databases from the establishment of the database to
March 2020, and the quality evaluation of research methods, journals, years of publication, authors’ organizations, core authors,
fund distribution and research content were analyzed. Results Among the 85 included literatures , the number of literatures showed
an overall upward trend, reaching the peak of 22 published articles in 2017. In the past two years, the number of published articles
has fallen again, and the percentage of published articles in 2018 had fallen by 45.5%, which was probably due to a slight decline in
the attention of researchers in this direction. Based on the analysis of the authors involved in the 85 literatures, according to Price’s
law, no core authors had been formed. From the perspective of the volume of publications, Guangdong took the lead, followed by
Beijing, Jiangsu and Shanghai. Based on the analysis of extracted high-frequency keywords, medical image information system was
the most frequent word, followed by cloud computing, cloud storage and cloud platform. In terms of fund support, 31.7% of the
total literatures were funded by funds, and the number of provincial projects was more, accounting for 45.71% of the total funded
literatures. Conclusion In China, the number of research on medical image cloud is relatively small, and the research sites are mainly
in Guangdong, Beijing and other developed areas. Therefore, this paper calls on relevant units to further strengthen the research and
application of medical image cloud (especially in the underdeveloped areas such as the central and western regions).
