Design and Application of Digital Guide Plate in Mandibular Tumor Surgery

Abstract:Using computer-aided technology and three-dimensional printing technology, 10 patients with mandibular tumors from a
stomatological hospital in Jiangsu Province were operated and the design of the auxiliary guide plate (including mandibular osteotomy
guide plate, fibular osteotomy guide plate and mandibular navigation template) was made. It was used to improve the fixing method
and structure of mandibular tumors surgical guide plate, improved the conformity of guide plate, and precise surgical operation,
so as to meet the anticipated requirements of preoperative plan. The clinical application proved that all patients had successfully
completed the operation. The results of the operation were completely consistent with the preoperative plan. No interruption of the
operation due to the guide plate problem was found during the operation, and the patients recovered well after the operation. The
design and application of digital guide plate improves the safety of mandibular surgery, reduces the complexity of surgery, and
effectively assists doctors to complete the operation smoothly. It provides a new idea and method for mandibular tumors surgery
