Abstract:Objective To develop a kind of wearable fall detection alarm system based on Intel Curie, which can distinguish falling
action and inform relevant staff through mobile network and messages. Methods The acceleration information of the wearer by six
axis attitude sensor in Intel Curie was firstly collected. Then the data was sent to the mobile phone APP by Bluetooth for calculation
and distinguish. If a fall in the discriminator for the wearer, the APP control mobile phones would send out alarm to related care
workers via the mobile network and messages. Results After the actual test, the system was convenient to wear, the posture of
human body was accurate, and could send the alarm to the relevant personnel in the way of mobile network and messages when
falling. Conclusion This system adopts the latest Intel Curie module, which has low power consumption and high integration. Data is
processed by mobile APP, processing speed is higher, real-time high. This system is accurate to body posture recognition, and can be
timely via SMS or network to inform relevant personnel.
