Vessels View to Diagnose Fetal Cardiac Great Arteries Abnormalities

Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic value of three vessels view of the inner diameter of pulmonary artery (PA) and
aorta (AO) and the ratio of PA/AO on fetal cardiac great arteries abnormalities. Methods 569 normal pregnant women and 52
cases of pregnant women with abnormal PA or AO inner diameter on three vessels view were selected. AO and PA inner diameter
were measured on three vessels view and the ratio of PA/AO was calculated. Results The PA, AO inner diameter in normal fetal
were positively correlated with their gestational age. The inner diameter of PA was greater than that of AO (P<0.05). There was no
significant correlation between the ratio of PA/AO and gestational age, and the ratio was between 1.0 and 1.2. Take the PA/AO ratio
between 1.0 and 1.2 as reference range, the detection rate of abnormalities of the PA, AO inner diameter and the ratio of PA/AO on
three vessels view in the abnormal group was 90.4%. Conclusion Measurement of the inner diameter of the pulmonary artery and
aorta on three vessels view can be an important indicator for the screening of fetal congenital heart disease.
