Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of the injection system on nursing occupational exposure. Methods From November
2014 to April 2015, all patients in our department applied the infusion system as conventional infusion system, which was treated as
a control group during this period. From May 2015 to October 2015, there was no needle infusion system for patients, and the period
was treated as experimental group. Results The experimental group nurses needle stick injury incidence rate was 0, occupation
exposure rate was 0. Compared with the control group 2.87%, 0.72%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The
personal protective behavior of nurses in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, which included wearing
gloves when drawing blood, being able to handle the medical sharp device correctly, and reporting timely after being stabbed by the
contaminated sharp material (P<0.05). Conclusion The non-needle infusion system can reduce the incidence rate of needle stick
injury, reduce the risk of occupational exposure, and to a certain extent, promote the nurses to do a good job of self-protection work.
It has high clinical value and deserves to be applied and promoted at all levels.
